Thanks for your responses. I have today fixed it by replacing the regulator and stator. The regulator is in a totally different location to what is said in the service manuals but I'm happy it's sorted now.
I have uploaded a short video to show you where it was incase anyone else has issues with the kymco agility city 50.

Not so good with this today! The parts came the rectifier, the stator and the fly wheel puller.
First job went to the rectifier/regulator which I thought was behind the front panel and not one there, the only thing I can see is a rubber covered and mounted box on the underside right side under the seat,which I assume is a regulator but it's not the style or one needed! The one I have ordered said it was for a kymco agility city 50 which It is, the large wheel version but if this is the regulator it is more box shaped and the plastic connector will not fit from the wiring loom. The same amount of wires going to it and it says kymco 12v on it.
I thought I would attempt the stator and checking it the one supplied seems to have an additional red wire which the one on the bike does not, they do look identical but again I am not sure if this would be compatible if I fitted it.
I will post some photos this weekend when I get a chance to have another look.
What do you think about the regulator issue, have I missed it or does this sound right?

I sincerely thank everyone for your help. I hope to have a look tomorrow at the bike and with your advice feel more confident to find the fault. I will update and let you know. you are all fantastic, thank you.

Thanks guys, I have ordered a stator this evening as well just to be on the safe side as well as a rectifier which I am waiting on.
I know this is stupid but how do I check the bad grounds, are there any particular anchor points on the frame or is it random to where they are positioned. Many, many thanks.

Hi, Just joined the site and would like to say that I have followed you all through with all 4 scooters I have had and the support you guys give is fantastic.
I would appreciate if anyone could point my in the right direction with a problem I have with my 3 years old Kymco Agility City 50.
I was riding home from work last week and without warning the bike cut out at some lights, I tried to restart via the electric start and it was just dead, the clock on the display faded out and it died.
I kicked started it kicked up straight away and I turned the lights back on and the bike died again.
I got home, only just, by not using any lights.
When I got home I checked the battery which was dead and recharged overnight re fitted and the next day while riding to work noticed the lights on the display fading and again it died as I got to work.
Now the bike will start if I kick start, no electric start at all, no click, no lights at all, its like no power is provided to any lights, horn, indicators or anything secondary.
To start the bike on electric you have to press the right brake lever which when I do, the clock on the display fades, like its zapping any power. No brake light comes on either which it always did on startup and no instruments work on the display!
I cant ride the bike obviously and tried a different battery, still the same, checked all fuses they are fine.
I have ordered a rectifier hoping this is the case but i'm not sure this would make much difference if im honest.
Please can anyone offer any help and advice as I really do love this bike and prior to this it has been a brilliant little runner.
