now iunderstand the starter button grounds solenoid when activated but my red yellow is getting power thru solenoid harness. when i unplug solenoid harness red/yellow isnt powered on harness side. solenoid plugged in red/yellow has voltage . tried new solenoid and same thing. used meter on solenoid off harness and both show complete circuit thru solenoid fromgreen/yellow to red/yellow.

first, thanks for the help. ok, new harness, no jumper wires, own multi meter.dont know what prior mechanic did toit, after 3 months he gave up. ignition switch has 6 wires red,red/white,black,black/white,brown/white,orange. brown/white and orange are not used. harness side has 4 wires, red, green, black and brown/white. red on harness goes to red on switch, black onharness goes to red/white on switch, green on harness goes to black on switch, brown/white on harness goes to black/white on switch. the red/yellow at solenoid is hot when key is on , according to dr. jr this should be ground! i tried your test and blew the fuse ,again! both brake switches work and all but light fuses are hot in fuse box. at start switch yellow/red is hot with key on and passes juice to yellow which also goes to kill switch when start switch is activated.green and black/white at kill switch are grounded. is this all correct? this scoot only has 26 miles on it and was returned to dealer.

put jumper wire in 2 pin harness connector of gy6 mini relay which is just behind voltage regulator. dash lights and license plate turn on even when key switch is off. power is going in to key switch but harness is missing wire where power comes outof key switch harness! what is going on here!

if i jump the two harness under the dash i can get it to turn over and crank, horn and turn signals work also but no spark at sparkplug. have removed all plastic.the two six point plug ins under dash are the ones i jumped, but if they are hooked up prperly it wont do anything. fues in fuse box are all good also the one near battery.
