I used to know how but have forgotten over the years of inactivity. When posting a link to an internet site how do you show it as just a descriptive word or phrase in red? It is a lot nicer looking in a sentence than the whole link.

glavey, Thanks! I started reading it last night but had to much on my mind from a week of fiascos. I'll get back to it a little later. It would be a bit different for me as I was a programmer and operator of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling centers and lathes. More recently computer controlled measuring devices. Removing material is my experience not adding it.

Can't help with your random idea. I've no experience with those.
As far as the power pack I mentioned I will be getting one as soon as funds are available and it is rechargeable by both AC and DC. But wonder if something like that little generator would put out enough to do the charging and run some accessory. Those adds give so little information.
It only requires an 8mph wind to activate and I can pedal my bike that fast.
Oh well! Some thing to play with in the future.

Wish I had known about those arduino boards back when I still had some interest in electronics. It may have kept my interest at the level I had the end of the last century. Maybe later when things settle down a bit.
I was dinkin around with the bicycle today and remembered the little generators that were used to power the lights back a few years. With the low output of the scooters system I was wondering if one of these driven by the wheel would work for auxiliary power.
