Hello All,
So I am not at all knowledgable about scooters starting off with that. First time posting even but I am stumped no duh right. My 50cc Roketa, assuming Chinese manufacturer coughs and pops when I am riding it. Through my research I am assuming this has to do with the Air/Fuel ratio and the lean/rich running issues. I am trying to adjust it, but getting nowhere. The recommendations on this thread are alittle above my level. So I shall list what I know to be the best description of the problem I can.
My scooter is 5 years old. about 4000 miles on it. I have never touched the Air/Fuel screw before. When riding it idles and starts ok, sometimes starts harder than others, takes twice and alittle throttle. Riding the scooter it runs great until about 25-30 miles an hour, then it starts sputtering and makes a popping noise. Its sporadic, sometimes never doing it but other times it is so bad I can barely go 20 miles an hour, constantly coughing and lunging. I have turned down the idle screw to where it sounds the lowest it can go without quitting and tried adjusting the Air/Fuel screw but nomatter how many 1/8 turns I do, the most I have done is a complete turn in either direction, I cannot here a change in the idle speed. I have tried running it when the screw is in all sorts of positions and the same problem continues. Any thoughts or something I can do would be greatly appreciated.
