About 6 months ago we bought what we thought was a miniature shark. The "expert" said he wouldn't get over 2 inches long. Well here he is all irate because the snail is in his favorite hangout. He rams him and slaps him with his tail. Mack the shark is now about 6 inches long and getting bigger every day. We are preparing a bigger aquarium to transfer him and his snail buddy to bigger digs.
Here is the shark and snail in heated battle over a choice spot. This is a while ago and both were much smaller:
Here is Mack as a baby playing in the aerator......awwwwwww....snif.
Here is our Plecostomus and his giant snail buddy. Plecky is pretty much a vacuum cleaner. He roams around cleaning up algae and small fish flakes. He and the snail are still growing rapidly. Some of these snails can get as big as a baseball.
