New member here... I've really enjoyed reading lots of the helpful posts ..
I just picked up a 2007 Roketa Sicily which I have come to like after working through some tuning issues.. one of the things I have just done was order a cheapo 26mm carb off of ebay.. when it arrived, I measured it and it is 24mm at the butterfly (just like my stock carb) .. contacted the seller who said they've been selling them for years as 26mm .. so my question, are there 26mm cheapo replacement carbs out there that measure 26mm? or is it just marketing..
One other question, since the motor is stock, would I be better off running a 24mm over a 26mm carb anyway .. I'd probably rather have the torque over any higher top speed gains..

Same thing here and I'm returning it. Just re-jet the 24.

Thanks .. I've actually contacted some other sellers, selling 26mm carbs to get clarification .. one seller on Amazon just got back to me and said his 26mm carbs actually measure 24mm and are having them returned from Amazon.. my ebay seller did send a return label towards refunding my money, but if all of the GY6 replacement 26mm carbs are 24mm, I think I'll just do as you say play with jetting..

No I haven't, seeems to be a vacuum pump set up on top and two other nipples on the side (perhaps coolant fittings). Seems the only other options are flat side 24, 28, 30 or a 30, 32 CVK. Think on a 150 a jetted 24 is probably fine, but some say different.

I bought a new Znen in November. California CARB so that it could be registered here. Idle was hunting and the Air/Fuel screw was blanked off. Bought a 24mm for 20 bucks free delivery. Upjetted the main and the pilot jets. Switched the bowls as the stock had the drain valve and the aftermarket had a bowl screw. Made the proper adjustments. Night and day.

Is it a 150cc? what jet sizes are you using? I contacted another seller of the "26mm" direct replacement carb.. when questioned, rather than measure what he sells, simply said it was the same as original.. so I think I'm getting the picture on the $20 26mm carbs .. I installed the new 24mm carb last night .. started easily, choke worked, settled down to a nice idle after warm up ... didn't take it for a ride last night, but it sounded good on the center stand.. this carb had 102 main 35 pilot installed..

Yep it's a 150cc. In order to pass CARB approval in California, the jetting was terribly restrictive. The pilot was 32 and main was unlabeled but probably 100-105. In the new carb I put 35- 120. This is just recently and am doing a plug chop today,

Justified buying it for my daughter... lol (it's mine). Since Nov. I've done tons of modifications. The cheap Chinese stuff makes it pretty painless and I love to wrench on things. Yeah for free shipping!

Went out and checked the plug, pretty white. I actually had a 130 main and 35 pilot. Changed to 135 and 38. Bought one of those 10 main and 10 pilot sets from china for 11 bucks, free shipping.....lol. Did an A/F adjustment and advanced the CDI a couple degrees. Will see what happens with a short ride tomorrow.
