My scooter battery went dead. I jump started it got it going then removed the cables and it quit running. Did this several times with the same results. Is this normal for a dead battery and will a new one fix the problem?

If the battery is old I have seen a really dead battery suck the life out of the generating system. I would jump it again and put a volt/ohmmeter across the battery terminals and see if the charging system is putting out 13+ volts.

Thanks y’all. Yes, the battery is pretty old. I’ve been nursing it for a while.

Yes Hondas are really good I wouldn't hesitate to grab one if one ever comes up for sale that the seller didn't want my right arm and my left leg too
