As always, the idiots in California show us normal folks what NOT to do on a scooter!
And what to wear- YES! That full-face helmet and armored jacket really are worth the trouble & expense!
Finally- the benefits of proper riding gear.

I can see that he locked his rear brake up in video 3. Use the front brake before entering the corner!!

WAIT A MINUTE...it's not the locking rear break thing that matters....it's the road itself.....my goodness, those three videos happened all in one place...what's with that road?? is it slippery??or is that part of the road made from tiles? and the city engineer does not even bother to fix it?? terrible!!! in my entire scooter life wich is 23 years(pls don't do the math,i'm still young bleh, lol) i haven't experienced locking breaks,in front or even at the back. don't even know if it happens at all. jizz... ...or maybe the guys who took the pictures, who were on top of the mountain put some sand on the road and wait for victims for them to video....so moronic behavior!...am so angry!

I know this is an old post, but it appears to me that all three riders made the same mistake. Keep your da@#ed feet off the road! If these guys had kept their feet on the boards/pegs there more than likely would not have been an accident! Then reduce speed prior to a sharp curve!

the thing tho is, first ,it is a very sharp curve,,second, the road become so steep on that part so the tendency of the rider is to increase speed....most likeliness, crash will occur...but your'e right ,the riders really need to slow down and start picking up speed after the sharp deadly curve.
i wonder where that place is,,,i want to email the city engineer or mayor and encourage them to put some signs on that road...gosh, innocent riders are dying...

Well, I never had a accident on a scooter.. Either the road has pebble size pee gravel on it or the riders are slicking their bikes up with Armorall.. Meaning the tires before crashing.. lol

they are all probably running dunlop hard as a rock tires! looks to me that they hardly even get a good lean going and they are sliding. a good sticky tire won't do that. john
