Hi all!
I have a 2009 kymco sento 50 that has over 4000 miles on it. Yesterday while riding up hill after about a 4 mile ride at average speed through Nashua, it started to cut out the engine when I would accelerate. I then made it to the flat part of the road and began to accelerate but the engine felt like every time I went to accelerate the engine was not getting the fuel . ALSO, That day I had spray paintedmy scooter on the gas tank cover to cover a gas spill that smudged the paint. The tank was 100% full at the time. I also cleaned the air filter earlier in the day with my shirt and replaced it back. This scoot starts first kick still and will come to a "cats pur" of an idle. I have never ever had an issue. Another thing to note is I changed the plug in it about 150-200 miles ago. I just want this issue gone, any suggestions would be fantastic!

Try giving the FUEL RATIO SCREW 1/4 turn Counter Clockwise see if that helps. Alleyoop

When cleaning air filter, I forgot to tightly attach screws on air box leaving a gaping hole near air intake side of box. I tightened it to the max and boom! My scooter exploded, Jk it worked like a champ! Thanks for the advice! I'm new to forums, is There any how to make your scooter fast threads ? 35mph is getting old.

Great, sounded like it was running lean and cutting out due to lack of fuel and possibly getting to hot.
For a 50cc stock 35mph is about it, to get to 40mph you would need to put in BIG BORE KIT like a 72cc or 83cc. For more speed you need more power. Alleyoop
