Hello all.
My 2009 kymco sento 50 has been a bundle of joy for me. Recently I changed the transmission fluid and overfilled WAY OVER what is reccomended. I then took out the carbon deposits with seafoam. Then opened up the carb to inspect jets. Once reassembled, it started and idled fine per usual. Once I tried to go however, the engine lacked power. I rode it about 8 miles and noticed this lack of acceleration, top speed and overall performance. Brought it to local shop and they said the compression is low. They adjusted the valves and it was able to achieve ~15mph which was better than when I brought it in. They still said that the compression was low after adjustment and it felt that way. What can I do to make this scooter sound and perform like she once did? Bore kit? All new gaskets? Rollers? I need someone to tell me what is wrong. Thanks!

When cleaning air filter, I forgot to tightly attach screws on air box leaving a gaping hole near air intake side of box. I tightened it to the max and boom! My scooter exploded, Jk it worked like a champ! Thanks for the advice! I'm new to forums, is There any how to make your scooter fast threads ? 35mph is getting old.

Hi all!
I have a 2009 kymco sento 50 that has over 4000 miles on it. Yesterday while riding up hill after about a 4 mile ride at average speed through Nashua, it started to cut out the engine when I would accelerate. I then made it to the flat part of the road and began to accelerate but the engine felt like every time I went to accelerate the engine was not getting the fuel . ALSO, That day I had spray paintedmy scooter on the gas tank cover to cover a gas spill that smudged the paint. The tank was 100% full at the time. I also cleaned the air filter earlier in the day with my shirt and replaced it back. This scoot starts first kick still and will come to a "cats pur" of an idle. I have never ever had an issue. Another thing to note is I changed the plug in it about 150-200 miles ago. I just want this issue gone, any suggestions would be fantastic!
