She was ok just a small scrape on her elbow. She was laughing while the bike pinned her to the ground, she wasnt hitting the gas but was just trying to turn it around from a tight spot and lost her footing. Im just noticing that my bike doesnt have brake lights or atleast they arent connected. The tail light works perfectly but when I press the brake no other light come on. Im thinking about wiring a led strip to the brake switch and mounting it under the tail light...

Ok I got some new mirrors and turn signals and everything is going fine. I still have yet to buy the master cylinders but they will be my next purchase. My mom decided that she wanted to learn to ride and was doing good until.... She tried to turn and laid it down and scratched my NEW mirrors :l They still function though.

I decided not to fight with the master cylinder bolts so I put the bike in the bed of my truck and went to an automotive shop. They managed to get the right side open with no problems and one screw on the left side.e We bled the right side and poof I can finally brake using the right. The last screw on the left one had to be drilled into and they used a self extracting screw and snap, the screw broke off into the stud :l. Sooooo, where should I begin shopping for Master cylinders with REAL sight GLASS. lol. I cant even ride it now because it has brake fluid leaking from the left cover and we all know how brake fluid eats everything up :l

I don't know what that is On mine it does not have that. If that "I" whatever it is, is attached to the reservoir then yes that would have to come out. Alleyoop 10-4, I appreciate all the help guys! Ill probably be back on tomorrow with more questions lol We should probably change the name of this thread to "150cc restoration" or something along those lines lol

That is a SNAKE EYE LOOKING at you telling you watch out. Alleyoop I was saying that if I put a bolt inside of there, wouldnt that slot be in the way of the bolt going all the way into the MC housing?

All that when you can do it right and have a visible site glass, and the site glass kit you get is NOT PLASTIC go figure. Alleyoop I actually thought hard about buying the replacement sight glass but the "Jerry Rigger" in me wanted to try the alternate route XD

Mabye check the gape on your plug also make sure it is right glad to hear you got it running sounds like you have some other issues with oil leaking. Sounds like you might have a running scooter for like 200 dollars that's great. I got it to idle very low and it runs great. I just had a small problem with the vacuum line coming from the intake, I changed out that hose and clamped it down so it wouldnt come off. I also noticed that my kick start is 100% inoperable lol. I dont really need it but I never got it to work when playing around with it

Tomorrow morning will begin my brake repair session with the bike. I'm curious, how did you exactly use a bolt, washer and nut to fix your sight glass? My mom wants to ride the bike and I'm just not comfortable with her and the front left brake Mind you, it should be a short bolt, a little smaller than the hole for the sight glass. Place washer on bolt Put bolt thru sight glass hole, with the head on the outside. Washer on the inside of the reservoir on the bolt end, and a nut to tighten everything down. Use JB Weld where the washers contact the reservoir (inside and out) Let dry. That was 7 years ago and still no leak. Granted, no sight glass, but i check it regularly. Something like this: gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=45090.0I didnt know the back side was accessible from inside of the master thats why I asked.
