why would my 08 lance GSR have a rolling vibration between 30and 40 mph. checked tires,running on center stand with cover off of cvt. motor mounts tight, im inthe dark. thanks,ike

Did you check the tires AND wheels by putting a reference point near the tire edge and then the wheel rim while slowly turning them? I had that problem and it turned out that the tire looked good but was 3/8" wider on one side. I got a new tire and it was fixed. How about your wheel bearings? Does it move on the axle when you pull back and forth? Is your axle nut torgued down to about 45ft/lbs? And last, any bolts loose one the triple tree anywhere? Rich

thanks for the tip, rich. checked your tips nothing yet. i'll keep checking and with 20 years experience as a bike mechanic, i will find and cure the problem. tks IKE

If your still running stock tires they are probably your culprit. When new my rear tire was out of balance and the front was fine. As I put miles on the scoot the rear has smoothed out and I have a wee bit from the front. You just cant get good wear pattern out of a cheap tire I have a set of Vipers sitting in the shed just waiting to be mounted. Its just more fun riding ;D

thanks for the tip,zugzug you could be right ,but im too cheap to find out ,with only 1200 on the clock. dot says tires were made in 07. kind of old like me,but i think i'll just live with it. ike.

We have had to replace the front wheel bearings on 4 of the GS-Rs, but it was pretty obvious they were goin bad - grinding and freeplay.
Also that rear swingarm and muffler mounts were constantly loosening up...
