Hey guys so i've got a problem my front indicators are badly damaged on my sachs sx1 finding replacements are like rocking horse sh*t and new ones are £45.00 each no chance so instead i plan to fill the hole where the indicator used to sit inside the body panel at the lower bottom and replace them with some led type small indicator upper handlebar level. so my question is whats the rules and regs on front indicators been placed (uk) will they pass an M.0.T with the change ?

Depends on how hard they scrutinize the indicators,,i know in europe and the UK they (the inspection people)are fuk heads basically,,i'm running LED ones now,,and have on my last 6-7 bikes and the cops don't even give me a sniff,,altho i do sweat my choices in exhausts,,they tend to be loud and obnoxious,,,kinda like me ,,,if you can find some on ebay with the EU on the lens you're in baby,,,my last few sets had that,,but no DOT mark,,,as a matter of fact i just stepped out into the parking lot now where i park and the ones i'm running now are EU compliant but "illegal" here

Do you know the place where you take your bike in for inspection or is a robot drone situation thats run by the government so you cant pal up and a wink and a nod and a pint later you pass?

Here in the states the laws vary widely from state to state. In Bama we don't even have to have turn signals but we have to signal the intention to turn. So we can do it mechanically if we wish. And, the color has to be amber if you have them. The big thing around here is anything even close to a blue light on your vehicle will get you pulled over.
