Hi Guys,Recently changed the head, piston, barrel on my 50cc jog engine. the problem i have is i can't seem to get the bike running and to idle but then i do it will run for about 20-30 seconds then die i have messes around with the mix screw and air screw and nothing seems to work.i have put my hand over the carb and it runs alittle longer but still dies? i have a race pipe on and no airbox ( not brought one yet ) do you have to up jet the carb if you run a race pipe? standard 50cc no mods except exhaust.

Hi guys i seem to keep breaking my cylinder head stud set the lengh is 110mm with the m7 thred,is there a alternative ie, strong steel or something that won't break,i am thinking that it's the cheap quality stud set i keep buying and can't find an alternative, i could perhaps ask a local engineering company to make me some but i dont know what to ask for

having failed to install my piston rings properly i have scored my cylinder wall and damaged my rings, i had not rode the bike just started up 0 miles, i have been advised to re hone the cylinder wall but for someone to do that its around £50 (85 dollars) and then to replace the gaskets and rings its far cheaper to buy a new kit or buy a standard 50cc kit, im just lost on which one would be appropriate, anyone who is using a 70cc kit can you give me some good points and bad points thanks liam

yes the piston has locators on them,I'm more going with the me installing it in a rush and them getting caught up.Problem is that where you can see the mark is exactly where the locator pins on the piston sits,am i right in saying the aarow on the piston should be facing the exhaust port this is the horizontal engine.

thats the problem wrist pin fine so is the piston rings the compression is at around 100psi and when you plug your thumb again the sparkplug hole and crank it seems not to suck my thumb with force, unlike other engines

Right Guys have a few decent photo's for you to look over see what you think,1# at top dead center is this correct where the flywheel should be just off the raised piece on the flywheel. 2# cylinder wall notice the score type mark on the cylinder wall, feels flush is this right in somewhat as the engine has 0 miles on it,3# the arrow on the piston does that point down towards exhaust or upwards toward's carb 4# on the piston them little nipple looking things is that where the piston rings seat at both ends ect, sorry about the biography just want second opinions,ps dont worry about the 3 bolts that are missing replacing them as we speak
