If a guy was going to remove this , would he just put a small air breather(filter) on the tube coming out of the crankcase. And just plug the hole on the air intake before the carb? Will i have to adjust the carb.

Yes, and zip tie the Hose coming off the Cover High so if oil does squirt out it will drain back in. Alleyoop

As long as you plug the hole going into the intake system you shouldn't have to adjust the carb, the mixture will stay the same. That is one weird arse looking motor. Is it really copper colored or is that the photo?

That's nice....one of those filters you get at Auto Weinie for various breather functions. I've thought of getting one of those. It's nice....looks nice.....a lot of money? Rich

That definitely shed a bit of light on the subject. I got that filter from my local O'reilly auto parts store. I also bought a little vac tube connector. fit great and tie strapped it down to my coolant hose. I'm into it about $12 dollars.
