Just wondering if anyone has installed a battery or voltage meter on their scooter? Or is not really a concern? If so pictures would be nice. Thanks.

I was having some charging issues on my 250 Fashion so I cobbled one together so I could monitor the charging circuit while riding.
I also did a project where I removed the center tap yellow on a conventional stator and installed a Trail Tech full wave rectifier....boy...now that was fun, I'm not kidding, it was a hoot.
But I needed something to monitor the drain on the electricals from this oil cooler I made....I know...it's absurd, it looks like it belongs on a Semi, hey...if you don't push the envelope....:
So I wired together a dash and and mounted a volt meter.
You may find this hard to believe, but this experimental bike was a blast to ride, I later secured these wires and buttoned some things up but it still looked pretty raw. The cops around here thought it was a hoot and waved all the time. This bike moved on to another incarnation and no longer exists:
But I digress, first, if you wire in a volt meter, don't just wire it to the battery, they use electricity and will drain your battery when the bike is off. Wire it into the black ignition wire so it comes on with the key. Second, they help some for what the charging circuit is doing, but I'm going to order an ammeter and wire it with a voltmeter. THAT, will tell you some things. If you need help installing the voltmeter let me know. Sorry, I didn't mean mean to hijack your thread, I just get wound up sometimes talking about this stuff. Rich

There are several available from motorcycle parts dealer. Digitals that draw almost no power and multiple indicator lights that give a general condition. They can give you an early indication of an upcoming problem. I'll see if I can find some links if you wish.
