So I have a guy who had his tire go flat, and is looking to get it fixed. It is a 3.00-10 tire, but all I have is a 3.50-10, is there going to be a problem with putting the 3.5 tire on the 3.0 rim?

I know on bicycle tires you can put wider tires on but on a scoot.... I'd stay with the listed size for safety reasons. Bicycles don't do 50mph.

I'm running 3.50-10 on my 50cc scooter instead of the 3.00-10 that came on it. Have 4000 miles/kilometers (i don't know what the odomater reads in) on it now with no problems. My scooter is similar to the TaoTao and some of them come with the 3.50 tire. As long as it has clearance i don't see a problem.

Some bikes have the clearance for a little extra rubber, but some bikes like the Honda Elite SR 50's don't and they have to run the skinny 3.00's. Matt

Great advice, I will check for clearance and see what that will allow me to do.
