Warranty? Whats that? I don't think they have those in china..
Even with the cost of paint and such, I can't see you spending $1400 on going to get it. Get the cheaper one. You're taking it apart anyway... Right?

Yeah it's two years on the SYMs but you have to be by a dealer, buy from the dealer, and take it back to the dealer. It's easy for them though, the bikes just run, they don't complain, they start, and they go, repairs are a rarity...priceless. I'm not a SYM snob, I had more trouble with my Kawi and I thought it was fantastic. Well, maybe I'm a bit of a SYM snob.....just a little. Rich

Warranty? Whats that? I don't think they have those in china.. Food for thought, the Genuine Stella is made by LML in India, and is known in the rest of the world as the Star. Matt

it is a little cobby around the edges,,,the details,,but it's e-bay to the rescue once again with vespa px150 parts that fit right on and are of better quality,,,headlite, switches, and just about everything fits on the stella so i have that to help out when needed,,and as i have read in most reports they are quite reliable,,just problems with the wiring and switchgear,,,that is not an issue for me,,i generally go thru my bikes top to bottom no matter where they come from,,i always find stuff wrong

I'm not a great Vespa purist; It's a runner, not a looker. Matt

Ok time to get my 2 cents in ! Remember , I have the Vespa TX-200 engine under my 04 Stella 2T's seat ! Yes the engine has the LML electronic ignition that the Stella has . Yes , Stella parts are available here in the US and if needed overseas ( SIP in Germany) . PX parts will also interchange with my 2T Stella ( aka LML Star outside of the USA ) parts or vice versa . You can still get new LML engines as well or build one up to your own requirements if needed. Im not sure what the parts availability will be like with the new 4T Stella and Stella Automatic scoots now hitting the market here in the USA and overseas . willc.

You sound like me Will,,,, the only thing keeping me from going whole hog on the et is the monocoque body,,, you have to basically take the engine out to do even minor work,,, and it's an auto,,, I think I'll be quite happy with the stella

Truthfully despite the little issues I have had with my homebuilt engine , I do like my Stella. It has been a great experience ( with a few frustration's here and there) . In the Boise area there is only about 5 or 6 Stella 2T's . There has been very few issues with the scoot itself . Yes you do have to expect to replace a clutch cable and or shifter cable here and there .They do stretch and wear out from daily use. However if you keep up with the routine maintenance , it will last longer than a Chinese scoot. Just my 2 bits worth. willc.

i cant wait to get it,,,,tubeless rims should be here early next week pinasco pipe and carb after that,,,,,then i take a breather on buying bikes for a month,,,and get my r1150r build done,,,then i order the sym wolf classic and the stable should be complete,,,that build is going to take awhile ,,,acres of sheetmetal work on that one,,,,,,i actually considered keeping the et and dumping the engine and installing a honda 350 4 cylinder engine in it,,,,that would be fun,,,i can garranty a very quick vespa with that combo
