I would give my left ### for one and maybe the right too! I think I would get rid of the gas petal though. Don't know how many cubic inches they had but it was sure adequate.
Would love to have the one a fellow modified for a canon ball race cross country 2 years ago. Looked stock and was rusty but had a water cooled motorcycle engine stuffed in it. Chain drive, frame mounted engine so it had to be comfortable going cross country.

One of the neatest things about so many of the antique scooters is they had a tub just like the salsbury for a body and in a matter of a couple minuets all of the engine and drive train were exposed. No one then had an excuse to put off service because it would take an hour to get to the engine you wanted to service, with the crap plastic we have to put up with today.
Any one have an idea what it would be like today to do a routine maintenance on a car if it took an hour or more to unwrap the engine instead of opening the hood. Why do the nutzo scooter makers insist on hiding the engine and making a scooter next to impossible to do a 5 min adjustment on? Then there are those shops that could very well service your scooter but knowing how much effort and time it takes to get inside so they say "we don't work on them" And how would you like to pay $85 an hour so they could even get near the vacuum leak that amounts to putting a hose back where it came from?
