Anyone ever change the rings on a 150 sport without removing the engine?

Yes its pretty straight forward. If you have that scooter in your avatar pic. Put the scooter on the double stand. remove your plastic below the seat completely. lift your seat up and start disconnecting the carburetor and fuel lines. you will need to remove the intake manifold, the exhaust header, ignition coil, and from there start unscrewing all the bolts. (dont loose them!!!!) get big bowl and just toss them in there. remove the valve cover, undo the camshaft rocker and all the bolts from there and once done just slide off the valve head and slide off the cylinder and replace the piston. You will need a new top set gasket kit. Dont reuse the gaskets and dont use silicone.

Walter, nice to have you back bud. You move back stateside? You still selling parts? Oh yeah, I see your signature, I'll click on it.
Yeah, cool, I see you are. Very good, y'all should go check out Walter's site, he is very knowledgeable and helpful on a person to person basis. He sold me the BBK kit for the GY6 project. Do you need another banner Walter? I think I owe you about 6 months. We're using tiles now as you can see. Let me know. Rich

Yes i quit Scooter Elements (Long Story) and started my own business in Jacksonville, Florida. Still working on getting parts listed on the site its not finished yet. Been back for a little over a month now. I see the tiles they look great. That would be great to get one done. As for my website it takes a long time to list every part one by one so hopefully in the next couple weeks i will be finished with that. Also if its possible to change my name on here from Scooter Elements to Unique Scooter Parts

Unfortunately the new format only gives so many font spaces to a handle, so a longer one spills over to the spaces below. I could shrink the font but it would get really small to fit on that bar. Let me know if your handle isn't cool like that and I can try a couple of other things but it probably won't get better than that. I'll ask Jack and see what he thinks. Rich

How's that Walter? I did get the whole business name in under your location but it won't fit in the handle slot, and they make you have a handle. Rich
