Alternative belt for Gates Powerlink 918X22 By arskal (Read 478 times)

Hi everybody.

I have a Jonway 250cc 2008 scooter and I found alternative belt for Gates Powerlink 918X22. Made by Dayco 8178K (outer dimension 937X22,3 - 30. This belt is strong Kevlar-belt. There is another Daycos belt, Dayco 8188K which outer diameter are 940x22,0. Gates Powerlink outer dimensions are 939X22,5.
I think this is better alternative belt for Jonway/Roketa scooters than cheap Gates Powerlink copy belts.

I installed this belt (Dayco 8178K) to my scooter for testing and it fit perfectly and work even better than Gates Powerlink.

It's always nice to read glowing testimonials about alternative products. I do have to say that Gates Powerlink Premiums do hold up quite nicely in my case. I installed one about five years ago on my 150cc and it still works nicely 6,000 miles later. I will, at some point, buy a Bando belt for my Fashion from Parts For Scooters. Matt responded to my request for a Premium belt by stocking them. I have 8,500 miles on the Chinese original so ten to fifteen thousand miles from a Bando is certainly possible.
