Thanks John. I had the red and black figured out, but I was looking for more specific info on where the switched power is on my particular scoot.

The connector that is coming out of your cowling that you're showing.....you want to tie to that? Can you tell me where it's coming from. Also, I can't tell the wire colors can you tell me exactly what they are? If yellow is switched power that's usually the black wire coming from the ignition switch. The red battery wire energizes it when you turn the key on. Give me more info and I can probably help. Rich

I'm not 100% on the 250's check the wires on the ignition switch , one wire will be constant power key on or off , then another wire will get power when the key switch is in the run position and off when turned off . If it were a 50 or 150 Rich is correct the red is constant power from the battery , the black is switched power meaning it only gets power when the key switch is in the on position .
I hope this helps !!!!!

The CF 250 is red is hot all the time and black with the key. I am not sure on all permutations of the 250 either John. We would probably have to get a multi on this. Jack might be able to say one way or the other but I don't want to guess and state wrong. There's also variation among bikes, there's no 100% assurance on configs. Rich
