My clutch makes a chirping sound when taking off. It quits once you get rolling. I have used sandpaper and roughed up the clutch pads as outlined in a Linhai service manuel I read. Still sqweeks. I've tried to take the clutch apart but so far have not been sucessful in getting it apart. Looks like the best idea may be to replace??
Thanks for your thoughts/comments Rick

Is it acting funny or just making noise? Do you have an impact wrench?

I guess you could say it does act a little funny. Very faint, but not as smooth as it could be, from a dead stop. The noise is much more noticeable. I do have an electric impact wrench.

It is called a clutch "bell" it is suppose to be some type of sound. But you should open it up just to make sure nothing is broken or the clutch pads are not worn down. to get the clutch off depending on your engine. You take off the front nut and the bell should come right off. Usually you need to hold the brake lever to get that nut off.
