I guess you could say it does act a little funny. Very faint, but not as smooth as it could be, from a dead stop. The noise is much more noticeable. I do have an electric impact wrench.

My clutch makes a chirping sound when taking off. It quits once you get rolling. I have used sandpaper and roughed up the clutch pads as outlined in a Linhai service manuel I read. Still sqweeks. I've tried to take the clutch apart but so far have not been sucessful in getting it apart. Looks like the best idea may be to replace??
Thanks for your thoughts/comments Rick

I'm in the process of getting a 2008 Rocketa Cypress 250 going. It has the Linhai 250 motor with 300 original miles. The water connections are present on the carb. but not hooked up. I think I can see where the two hoses would hook to motor but presently there is a jumper hose hooked up there. Looks original to me. So far I've only driven it a couple of miles, and parked it because of some other cooling system issues. The motor seemed to run real well with-out water going to carb. So I'm wondering why do I need that hooked up? A decent shop manual would sure be nice, but so far that seems difficult to obtain. Thanks in advance for your comments - Rick

Yes, it has an oil tank. One option I was considering, was to do as you are and mix my own gas. Not sure of the mix ratio, but I'm thinking 5 to 8 ounces per gallon sounds right. What mix do you use??

I just bought a 2005 Geely Whisper 49. Engine # JLIPE40QMB. It did run alright for about 20 miles, now it seems to be flooding. With air cleaner removed oil will gather at base of air inlet and occasionally drip. If you wipe it dry it will re-occur. You can see oil running down the throttle slide. This happens with- out motor running (motor will barely run). My only thought so far is the check the adjustment of throttle needle valve. Any other thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for your comments.
