I just bought a 2005 Geely Whisper 49. Engine # JLIPE40QMB. It did run alright for about 20 miles, now it seems to be flooding. With air cleaner removed oil will gather at base of air inlet and occasionally drip. If you wipe it dry it will re-occur. You can see oil running down the throttle slide. This happens with- out motor running (motor will barely run). My only thought so far is the check the adjustment of throttle needle valve. Any other thoughts on this? Thanks in advance for your comments.

is it oil injection with oil tank, my pump went on me and it started dumping a lot of oil in and leaking, when i put bbk in i did away with the oil injection no more problems with oil after that, not sure if you are having same issue, but i feel safer premixing

Yes, it has an oil tank. One option I was considering, was to do as you are and mix my own gas. Not sure of the mix ratio, but I'm thinking 5 to 8 ounces per gallon sounds right. What mix do you use??

i mix 32:1 on mine with BBK that is what the manufacturer suggested and that is 12 ounces for three gallon container i mix it in, i keep a small container with 4 ounces in it in case i have to stop and get gas on the road i have a 1.4 gallon tank and when it reads empty i still have.4 left and it will take a gallon 32:1 is a lot you may be ok with 40:1 which is 3.2 ounces per gallon whatever you decide which is best for you i would use a good 2 stroke oil and not something cheap
