I'm in the process of getting a 2008 Rocketa Cypress 250 going. It has the Linhai 250 motor with 300 original miles. The water connections are present on the carb. but not hooked up. I think I can see where the two hoses would hook to motor but presently there is a jumper hose hooked up there. Looks original to me. So far I've only driven it a couple of miles, and parked it because of some other cooling system issues. The motor seemed to run real well with-out water going to carb. So I'm wondering why do I need that hooked up? A decent shop manual would sure be nice, but so far that seems difficult to obtain. Thanks in advance for your comments - Rick

Do not bother they used to THINK sending WARM water near the carb it would warm it up and not ice it up during winter. But now they do not come with those two connected doesn't do anything really and that is what they found out. Alleyoop

The Linhai is cloned from the Yamaha YP 250 and you can use this manual. Like most Chinese scooters there is no model specific manual and we have to stumble about with the old original manual. Most of it will apply but use it as a guideline and not hard and fast procedures. Hey, that's why there's forums like this one.

I'm no mechanic (Just Ask Alleyoop & Bashan they have been a great help for me) on scooters but learning more & more I have the 2013 yy250t-2 or mc-13-250 engine which uses the carb. Above that alleyoop posted the hoses on mine are from the radiator thermostat output side all that I can figure out is that it heats up the electric choke on the carb. to open if this might help some
