Easy out is not going to help you,It is already turning, listen to what I said the screws are screwed into a PLASTIC piece all you need to do is stick something thin in between the CHROME cover and just push to put a little pressure on the screw as you unscrew. Alleyoop

Thanks poop but the screws are not turning. My apologies if I didn't make that clear. They are locked and stripping and I am having a hard time getting a flat precision head in between the screws and the plastic.

Ok, then just get a drill bet little smaller than the head and drill, the head will come off the screws and you can then pull off the chrome cover. Then all you will need is pliers to unscrew the screws out of the plastic piece they are screwed into. Then get screws with a little bigger head to put the cover back on. Alleyoop

Just one thing Alleycat... It's not CHROME, it's Silvered plastic. Had the same ones on my 150. Nice, but a real pain to reset once the mount gets messed up.
Personally, I'd change mirrors. Otherwise, do like Alley said and get a small drill bit, (Dremel if you have one, also called Moto-tool) drill the heads off and replace them. Any decent Auto store will have what you need. Heck, any Lowes or Home Depot will have them. And be sure to use real aluminum or stainless screws to prevent rust in the future.
