Anyone know what type of metal the cvt boss slide is made of ?
***Material, any heat treat, coatings, or surface treatments ?

I wouldn't think that it matters as long as the surface is smooth enough to allow the pulley to slide. As far as heat it gets hot but not that hot. Weight wouldn't be a factor since it's pretty small. I think the OEMs fit pretty good, I don't see how much improvement is possible.
