If I install a "Big Port Valve Head" for an upgrade on my gy6150 (stock cylinder - NO bbk) would I need a bigger tailpipe to run to the muffler ? I ordered a performance muffler but haven't really planned for the tailpipe.... because I do not know if I need a bigger tail pipe. Do I

I wouldn't think you need a bigger muffler but I could be wrong I would think your if the exaust pipe doesn't hook up then mabey you are right.

JV is right, it's the muffler that causes the resistance, the pipe is pretty much negligible backpressure. Don't worry about the header, in the overall scheme of things it's a non factor.

Thats a fact jack. If the muffler is a VERY VERY QUIET DUDE then it is very restrictive and your head will do nothing but waste gas. A bigger valve head has a little bigger Intake Valve and a little bigger Exhaust Valve to suck in more air and gas that is what big valve heads do. The problem is if it cannot burn and exhaust the extra FOOD it will not run as good as with the stock head. Alleyoop
