OK so I have a 50cc qmb139 Chinese scooter with about 11,000 miles on it now. It runs good. Starts right up. The problem is it doesn't run as good as it used to. I'm topping out at about 30-35 mph these days and hill climbing isn't so good either. It seems to run a little better in cooler weather. Im gonna check the valves today. Other than that i have been doing oil and gear changes reguraly. I don't want to put any bbk's or anything. Would I see any improvement with new rollers or springs? The carb is pretty new with only about 1,000 miles on it. Other than stock OEM parts this scooter hasn't had anything done to it. Just wondering if anybody had any suggestions. This scooter is way past its prime and has lasted way longer than I expected but its starting to slow down on me and I want to do whatever I can to make it last even longer.

Well 30-35 is what those scoots are capable of stock so nothing you can do to get anymore out of it without any mods. If it starts and runs good and runs a little better in cool weather then maybe just lean it out a little for the hot weather 1/4 turn clockwise on the fuel ratio mixture screw.
The other thing when was the last time you changed the belt and or new rollers if you haven't with that many miles they are pretty worn down and that will make it loose some performance quick. Alleyoop

As usual, Alley's right! It's a good idea to check the variator components. As far as better performance, I've found that a good set of rollers beats almost anything else for noticeable improvement (you might even try going up or down a gram in weight)!
