I bought this for my (now) X- wife.
To be honest, it has been nothing but trouble since day one. I had a list of stuff that Mega Motor Madness made good on and a list of stuff that I thought they should have. Any way, that's gone (along with the X).
I know it should be a dependable little machine,
but it has not been. Now, I need to get it running so I can sell it. I want it to be a good scoot for whoever buys it.
It won't start. Here's what I did and how it stands right now.
It's in my shop with all the body off - except the front fairings.
I've replaced the top of the carb because the diaphram was torn. I also cleaned the carb even though it was amazingly clean.
I replaced the coil, wire and sparkplug.
I adjusted the valves -it has 1,200 miles on it.
The fuel pump is working.
It is getting spark. Although I don't know what a good spark looks like on these scooters, I could feel it through my nitrile gloves.
When I turn it over and give it gas and it doesn't start you would think the spark plug would be wet. It isn't, it's dry.
What's up with that? Gas not going through the carb?
I've drained the tank but have not put new gas in yet because the battery is dead - that's what happens when you leave the key on.
My plan is to get the battery charged, buy a new carb, put new gas in it and try it, unless anyone has any other suggestions.
