Hello, I own a Ice Bear 50 cc trike, it has been running fine after replacing the carb, cdi and coil about 6 months ago. The batteries was shot so i've been using the kick start the last few months, The k/s gear now stipped so i bought a new batteries this weekend the scooter stated fine i shut it down then restated everything was good, sounded like it was warming up as always then it started losing power ( would give it gas and nothing ) then just died next time took several trys to get it stated and again same thing. then nothing at all it cranks but will not start. I replaced the plug this afternoon and still nothing could it be a electrical coil, cdi or auto chock? have made no adjustments to carb at all have not checked fuse yet, but if were bad would it still crank ?lights work all of them horn barely works. any ideas please help jeff Read more: scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/10580/50-cc-ice-bear-start#ixzz39RVo1fEU

Well one thing naturally is the the battery, if the horn barely beeps then of course the battery is suspect and probably very weak and will not crank the motor over fast enough to create suction to draw fuel in. So the first thing is to get good voltage to the scoot. You may have a bad battery, also if you got a cheap battery with below 100 CCAs you may get a couple of cranks and the battery will be already depleted. If you have a car jump the battery in the scoot BUT DO NOT HAVE the car running.
But if you have not adjusted the valves that would be the first thing to adjust. Set them both to .003 inchs. If valves are tight and not sealing it will act as if you have a fuel delivery problem due to not able to create enough suction to draw fuel from the bowl. Alleyoop
