gy6 50cc, I know it has resistance and that moves the needle, is this circuit tied to a temp sensor, how does it know when the engine is warm enough. may be a dumb ? but I just like to know what makes something work. re read the tutorial on the choke and it looks like it works strickly off of current flowing thru it and the material around the resistance heating up.

You got it pal, there is no temp sensor involved. The timing on the plunger coming out is dependent on the variances of voltage between bikes and that particular auto-choke. Typical Chinese slap dash engineering. So some of them shut off early, some late, and some just by luck are spot on. Don't ya love it? HAR! Rich
