I have 37volts ish to the wires connecting to the top of the coil until I plug in the ground and the voltage dissapears. Checked all connections coils test out cdi is doing what it should, totally in the dark and help would be appreciated

What ground are you plugging in that kills the voltage?

had a similar problem with my scooter turns out it was a break sensor and fuse that came loose have you checked your kill switch and break sensors also on some scooters kickstand must be up to start do your gauges come on when you turn key and have you check the inline fuse from battery to starter mine was right next to battery another thing it could be is your starter relay may be in backwards are you sure you put it in the same way it came out and the ingnition coil the wire that goes to spark plug should be green to green black to black in case its not on right also
