I want to pull the clutch apart but can't find the size of the nut anywhere. I thought I read 28mm some where, but I can't find it now. Need to buy a socket. Thanks for the help. 150 powermax, 10 bolt long

Go to harbor freight and buy a rack of them,,,,if you're going to work on your own stuff you're going to need them,,,,HF is cheap

It's 38mm. I think 1 1/2 inch works too but I'm not 100% on that. You don't mean the bell nut do you? That's 17mm. Be careful taking the inner nut off, there is a powerful spring behind it. If you don't get some of the stress off of the nut it may not come off.

Can anyone confirm if a 1 1/2" socket will work, also? I know it is close but would like to know for sure before I buy one. There is a good deal at Lowes for standard sockets. Thanks in advance

It's a Chinese scoot. So it's going to be in metric.

I understand that, but a 1 1/2" should fit it ONLY to get the clutch apart. Has anyone used one for this?

Click on the KidnMe tile at the top and use the contact button to get in touch with Tom. He uses Imperial sockets on metric nuts, the big ones anyway. Tell him Rich from Scooter Doc said hey. Rich

Bummer I did not see this but you should have gotten an adjustable wrench then you could also use it for all other nuts on the scoot. Alleyoop BIG ADJUSTABLE WRENCH IS WHAT I USE:

Most rulers, and even measuring tapes, are marked with inches on one side and mm's on the other. Wouldn't have been too much work to just measure it, back on Sept 6th.

38mm is 1.4961inchs or a hair under 1½inch.
