So I just hit 2000 miles on my Roketa MC 54 250 and I believe I am supposed to adjust the valves now. According to a video I have seen, it looks to be almost too simple. I have the 244cc Honda Clone motor. I'm about to go after it so any advice would be very welcome. Thanks.

So I basically warm it up. Loosen adjusters. Move them to where they don't click and tighten them? No aligning anything first?

I have your engine. Do exactly what the video says. There is nothing to align. You are simply setting a gap. It just shows the "engineers" can make it simple if they try. They just stick to the tired old designs. Are your valves noisy now or is it running poor? Don't stir a turd bud if you don't have to. Rich

They don't sound noisey and the bike seems to be running well. I am getting a little midrange flutter that I can't figure out. So I shouldn't perform the 1000 mile adjustment unless I'm hearing something or it's running rough?

That's what I did. I waited for symptoms to show up. Hard starting, rough idling, noisy valves. In lieu of that I left it alone. It is a simple procedure so check it for your own peace of mind. But it's been my experience if they are not clattering they're OK on the CF 250. Rich
