Hi Alleyoop Took quite awhile I've been trying since last march but let me tell you i guess they sell like hot cakes to me its worth the wait its a whole new axle type being a little headache to install with really no good pattern to go by got the back tires true to the front tire now i just need to get the spline sprocket in line with the axle sprocket I'll be breaking out the heavy-duty super glue ((((( YE-HA ))))

Pictures Man, I can help with whatever problem you are having, I know these axles like the back of my hands. They are the same as what I have on my trike, how many mounting brackets does it have 2 or 4. Alleyoop

That rear axle sure is out there a ways. On the trikes sold by the local shop the axle is within an inch of the final drive and that one looks like a foot. I can imagine a plusher ride but, does that extra length do something for the handling to make it worth it?

Richardv For what time I road it today it seems to handle real nice that is about as close as I could get it to my spline without a lot more of modification keep In mind this is a (kit) it will not look like a manufactured trike like I said above the trike axle starts close to the spot where the rear tire ended also I even raised my engine about an 1½" going by the shock which makes the backend higher the reason for that is to keep it from pushing the scooter into corners instead of turning I really don't know what it's going to look like until I put the plastic back on it if I don't like the look after that my cutting torch is still ready to go work again but I don't think I can move it to much further inward toward the spline everyone has to keep in mind I had very little instruction to go by so this is my own and first setup so hope it will look all right Thanks for your comment

Looks like you did a fine job to me,,, my only concern is the leverage the extra length of the rear end will have on the shocks ,, you can crank the spring preload all the way up,,, still might not be enough ,,,, koni or fox will make a set that will get that rear under control,,,, Koni is the less expensive choice and do a fine job,,,,all in all tho looks like a super clean install,,, nice work my man

Are you kidding me, that is supposed to be kit!! I just want to tell you the rear really takes a beating going over bumps and what not and I would not trust the motor casing holding the axle and taking a beating. I can see it breaking the motor casing in no time at all.
Did it not come with a frame piece that bolts to the frame to acutally have a swing arm for the axle? I don't think that treasure place is in business anymore their web site does not come up and they have a bunch of complaints about their supossedly trike kits. Alleyoop

Hi Alley It did come with a frame kit for a GY6 that bolted to the top engine mount which definitely would not work so I ended cutting it all up using what I could I haven't really got to ride it due to my forgetting of where hoses go after I see it's up to my par and working like it should I'll be breaking out the welder adding more bracing I agree with you I don't like the setup to well myself I will have to figure out some movable bracing for it I just went by some pictures that TC had posted I just wish I could still do high frequency welding for aluminum without screwing up my defibrillator / pacemaker I could do more bracing on the aluminum but I can just sneak pass my wife using tig letting her think its ok (Shoooooooo) Thanks for the reply just thanking about it the axle and engine gets its movement from the shocks kinda working like a swing arm

I think You should have figured out how to mount this swingarm which actually holds the motor plus the axle. Since you can weld you should have welded two mounts onto the frame that the front of the motor is mounted to. I have to tell you my friend that setup looks dangerious and not safe. That setup will not last very long and the whole rear axle will come off. That is a lot of weight back there with the tires and axle and something will give. Alleyoop

Hi Alleyoop I tried every way possible to make that swingarm work even after cutting out the braces and all it was still too long and wouldn't fit on my motor like it needed to by a long ways the picture you posted was way off from my engine if you look at the shocks mine would be closer to a 45° than 90° because of the bends in the arm also the swingarm bracket to my motor mount was about 2 ½ " to 3" inches wider like I said I really don't like it either I'm still raddling my brain to where I can still use my motor mount but I'm wanting to go further out on the axle toward the wheels there is 35" to the center of the wheels and to me working welding with metals for the last 37 years there is too much axle there to even be using the engine at all as for support but winter is coming on so there's no telling what I'll have done come next spring
