I don't know who hired this ad agency at Polaris but they're good.

It's so good to see this happening. After a half century of sub-standard American Motorcycles Polaris has kicked the American market up about three or four notches. Harley has even picked up the ball and started running with the new Street models. If I was in the market I would be so torn between the Victory Gunner, the Harley 750 Street and the Indian Scout. Before this I would have been choosing Kawasaki Vulcans, Triumph Bonnevilles and even Cleveland Cycle Werks machines. These new American machines are much better choices.

I don't seem to be able to get the Harley video to start. Maybe I need a jump. Here let me try this.
Nope. Just what I thought. There's a Harley anti-body at work here in my house. I'll see if I can get it to let the video run but I don't know.

Gawd what will all the old harley nay sayers do in coming years? All the old jokes about the oil spots where you park your harley, the truck or trucks that always went behind on the harley rides to pick up parts, pieces, and the broken bikes. The milwaulkee vibrators.

Yep and all the time they'll be like in the past looking at the signs at Indian dealers with end of the line out of business sale. Wiki will just have to add one more line to the others who couldn't compete. The old nay sayers? They just keep bolting them back together.

Not this time Jack. Polaris could buy Harley Davidson out of the petty cash drawer. They built a better bike from scratch fifteen years ago in Victory and did it again with the Chief and Scout. They are better funded than any Indian builder, ever, and aren't going anywhere. They didn't lose a dime on Victory and built a dealer network to boot. If they can cash in on the "America's Oldest Motorcycle Company" slogan Harley will have a tough row to hoe. Especially when Harley owners are stuck by the side of the road with their gleaming babies waiting for a tow while hordes of Indians ride by shining in the sun. These new Street models are the first sign of panic. Harley never cared for entry level riders until now. As I'm sure you know the design of the entry level Street models started three months after Polaris bought Indian.
Coincidence? I think not.

Personally i hope they both do well,,i think harley is on to something with the new models they're coming out with,,,and they should, bringing in new riders into the fold is good for business ,,,they've been around for a long time ,,,Indian is a start up,,,and has nothing to do with the original company other than the name,,,but what they do have is a real solid company behind them with very deep pockets so i think they're here to stay,,,polaris is huge and have an engineering department that's second to none,,,i can't wait to see the new harleys and the indians,,,they should be showing up at the rockstore soon,,,,let the games begin
