got me something to drive in the winter that wont kill my wallet like my truck does. 04 chevy aveo. big difference between 30mpg and the 10-12 the truck got. its surprisingly quick for only having 103hp. its a 4cyl of course though it does have 4 valves per cylinder. made in Korea by Daewoo. I think the Daewoo version is called the Kalos. heres a few pics. I probably will have to drive the truck some this winter because if last winter was any indication of this winter (they say its gonna be worse) then the aveo might not cut it after a big snow fall.

I had one of those around 2004, the hatchback version. Its the Kalos alright, the engine is GM, Opel in europe. Nothing fancy but a honest reliable car.

this has the 1.6l engine. I know you could get a 1.4l somewhere. must've been in Europe because I don't think you could get em here. I also have heard of a 1.3l diesel. I don't think that was available here either. the only complaint I have is I wish it had a timing chain instead of a belt. the belts are known to go before the 60000mi Mark. if that happens, goodbye valves. I had it changed when I got it to prevent that. I would've changed it but you need a tool to hold the cams still (its dohc) that I don't have

My wife saw one of those on a car lot and had to have it. It's a 2012 and she loves it. Great mileage and runs like a champ. Have fun with yours! Rich

you've got the genuine though. that things better than a vespa. I'd take one but it would have to be the cvt version though. I have a geared bike but for scoots it's belt drive for me. the bike I have is a '70 Suzuki ts90. not licensed though.
