Motoman in Dallas came by and charged me $60 altogether. Changed a hose, took off the bit that allows for California Emission standards and retighted the carb which was loose for some reason. Now it runs and I can sell it. Then THAT money can be used to buy that SYM. Either the HD200 or the RV250. I'm leaning hard for the 200.

Not even going to look at the other SYM, this HD200 feels like my current one and is highway capable. He is holding out for 1900, but it s NEW! That 479 miles is true and it starts almost by just staring at the starter button

Applied for the loan, $2000. Got my ducks lined up now to wait on the VIN from the seller. I hope I can get it this weekend!

Unless you get a freak build, you will NOT be disappointed with the SYM. Mine has never turned a complete revolution before it starts. NOTHING has gone wrong with it in 7K miles. It runs better now than it did when I got it from Cookees at 1,000 miles. Also, I switched to Mobil 1 10W-30 and the myth about scooters burning synthetic oil stops with SYMs, not a drop. The synthetic also improved performance and gas mileage by at least 10%. If you like working on scooters and spending time repairing them.....don't buy a SYM. Rich

So change oil to synthetic after I get it home. Will do.

I'd put a couple of thousand more miles on it and then switch to synthetic. You gotta let the rings set on these puppies.
