guitarman, have you gone to take a selfie yet? One paper I read says an older couple has been arrested taking selfies right infront of the lava flow. Another pair got caught with golf clubs with lava stuck to the heads. Sounds like you are living with the gestopo.

From what I've read the police are just protecting PRIVATE property, where the head of the flow is at present. When it gets to public property they can take all the selfies they want.
And I don't believe he lives on that island.

Nope. I doesn't live on that island.
They were arrested because they were in a state declared emergency zone and you are supposed to evacuate those areas for your own safety. But there's always some Lolo who has to go and do something like that. How many times people wind up in the hospital or dead even from those kind of stunts. A Lava flow emits sulfurous dioxide which can kill you.
It's either the volcano or some dufus standing on a tide wall in big surf. Every year we have at least 3 or 4 tourists get washed out to sea and we usually don't find the bodies.
The state safety zones are there for a reason.

I've been absent for a while. Got a new job that's going to pay much more regularly. That will be nice. But I have a lot of study and practice to get up to speed for it. So, I may not be here much the next few weeks.

Be honest, I stole that bike. And he was happy to be rid of it.
I did have to replace the fork seals and the main steering head bearing. That was a major pain in my wallet. That's more work than I wanted to do, so I hired those two out at the same time. Got to take the forks off to replace the bearing, so I got two for one..
We have at least 30 clubs here. Lots of bikes to ride with.

They are locally famous and both good friends. My pic is me and Moke.
