Having another interest to go along with the riding is helpful. A group I hung with also liked camping, site seeing and all were military veterans. There were mainly small motorcycles and some scooters. I also had a Gold Wing with cargo trailer that came in handy on camping trips.
Best wishes.

You may get a better response if you post on the general topics board or the non-scooter general topic board. This one is kind of hidden away. I'm from the Green Bay, WI area so I can't help directly but do wish you luck.

We've only got about 1/2 inch but it's only 16º at 2:30pm. It should be 40º and raining Sunday which is my 65th birthday. I see your's is coming up to. Happy Birthday.
It's been well below normal temps so they guys are already ice fishing so the rain should prove interesting.

I plan scavenger hunts for the club here. I ride around and take pix of different places a few days before the ride.
Everyone has to figure out where it is and snap a picture of it. The rider with the most pix found gets some kind of prize. Prizes are always small so that it's not a drain on the members to pay for. Second and third place prizes also.

We have a lot of poker runs around here. Mainly the Harley crowd but open to all. If it's not to expensive for the group you may also try geocacheing rides. The expense would be having to buy a GPS. Play it similar to poker run but with geo positions instead of addresses.
Hey, no problem. Nobody wants to grow up. I'm 39 again for the twenty sixth time.

yea I'm one of those who never grew up, lets see, I'll be 22 for the 3rd time in my life.how's the fishing after the rain you talked about earlier?,or is it still snowing?I see in your photo your puppy is wearing a H. D. t shirt are you still riding a hawg?I'm guessing thats your dog,by the way the dog looks cool.about the geocaching I've seen it,but never really looked in to it,As you probably know most people buy a scooter to save money and GPS is a leisurely they can't afford, but myself I would like to look into it more .well by for now look forward to are next conversation. scoot, richardv, Guitarman

First place is usually a $25 gas card. Second is $20 and third is $15 The rest of the money goes towards dinner. Any left over goes towards a year end party.
