I take it that a VDO is a regular gauge like a fuel gauge and VDO is a brand name. OH, I remember that name from my old hotrod days at the time they were of good quality. I've already got the small led gauge so I'm going to give it a try.I'll let you know how it works out, if your interested. there very small and easy to mount. don't know how well they work, we'll see. later

Thanks for the info ,but I would like to keep the look of the stock cluster if I can.but speaking of Chinese electronics has anyone try'ed using one of those small led voltmeter you see on ebay I thought if I end up using the cluster that didn't have the voltmeter I would mount one of those somewhere on the scooter.I kind of like having the meter.

Hi everyone, my scooter did not come with a tack, and I would like to add one but keep the stock looking instrument cluster. I've found one on ebay that looks like a good fit, the mounts and shape look the same as mine but mine has both a 9 pin connector and 3 wire connector the one I found on ebay is also a 9 pin but has a 2 wire connector now here's where it gets a little confusing my 9 pin has 9 wires going to it,the ebay one has only 7 wires going to the pin connector but my scooter has a voltmeter that takes two wires to make it work so I'm thinking the 2 extra wires are probably for the voltmeter now the 2 wire connector on the ebay cluster, I think is for the flasher for the turn signals but mine has 3 wires but my flasher also has the beeping sound when the lights are working so maybe that is the reason for the 3rd wire or it maybe for the 4 way flasher I don't know .I could be completely wrong about this, I was hoping one of you may have done this mod.before and could give me some pointers, I know I will have to run a wire from the cdi or coil to make the tack work and I'm pretty sure I can make the 9 pin work but the 2 wire and 3 wire connector I'm not to sure about. the ebay cluster is not cheap so I thought I'd wait till I got some feed back from you all before I ordered it and found out it wouldn't work at all.any help would be great, if any of you need more info let me know. Thanks in advance.Scoot

brunop39, Alleyoop, jerryscript, jomama0867, rks, cyborg I have the little red light on my scooter too, with what looks like a outline of a cell phone next to it.it blinks all the time it got so annoying at night I blacked it out. it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the oil or brakes, a friend said maybe it told you when you were in in-range of a cell tower.maybe you need to know that in china but to me it was just annoying.anyway it's been blinking like that for two years so it must not be that important.not to say your red light is not important it may very well be.still I would like to know just what it's for.

scoot, Bashan, Guitarman, cyborg, rks, Alleyoop, tvnacman Hi every one just wanted you all to know the fuel flow gremlin is DEAD.and the prize goes to JOEY BEE give that man a big cigar it was as he mentioned the fuel line was going up hill just a wee bit .if you look at the photos I had the feed line from the tank at the center of the frame cross member all I had to do was rotate to the bottom of the cross member and all was good did a little rerouting of the hoes and every thing started to work just fine . took the scooter out for some short rides and worked up to some long ones seems to work just fine (no more blow jobs lol)and I want to thank you all for your ideas and suggestion.and sorry if it got a little out of hand for awhile.if rich agrees I'll send him photos to post of the finished job .oh and I can't remember but someone mentioned that the scooter didn't look like it was road much well, it's just under 6000 miles and I ride it almost every day.it's just well cared fore.well thanks again guys.later Scoot
