That's what I thought! Ever since they did that the idle goes up and down and when taking off wants to die! Also I have a noise coming from scooter like air escaping.

Did you check the muffler of the exhaust to see if it is broke inside or still intact?

No I haven't but was thinking muffler as well. Not familer with mufflers so what exactly should I look for?

Here's Alley's article on bouncing RPMs. Check the exhaust by getting down and see if you can feel puffs of air coming off of the exhaust system.
