Did a Toys for Tots ride last weekend. I was the only 'scooter' amongst roughly 3000 riders Got a lot of is that looks and a lot of thumbs up. Met a couple other amputees who gave me inspiration to try two again In preparation i found I was missing a exhaust header stud. Having no time to order, went to Lowes for a bolt with the same thread and bolted the exhaust pipe back on. Works fine so far After the ride to the Children's hosp, went for another ride as the weather was great.

I rode further from the house to the meet up location than from there to the hosp. seems there were too many accidents in past years so they shortened the route. For the day i did about 100 miles

nice,,,but this is one of the reasons i don't ride in "packs",,,some people don't ride well and have no training so they wad their ride and ruin the trip,,,,,too bad,,the msf courses are cheap quick easy and give you a discount on insurance,,,and a couple classes at keith codes school and BAM instant great rider

Most were older HD riders, so not too many zig zaggers. The old route included some hi way riding, but the civilians tried cutting in and caused some issues And, management broke the group down to a few hundred bikes per group, police escort, cross traffic blocked. All in all safe, but short.
Either way, a good day for a good cause

Good glad you had a good time,,,and for a good cause,,,,,so my boy you considering 2 again?? I've got a Goldwing and Honda shadow sabre sitting in the geerage. Just not totally confident my L leg can hold up 700lbs at a stop light. May get something lighter if I can finger out how to convert shifter without paying $1000 (Pingle electronic shift) But, ya never know. Still looking at a goldwing w/sidecar

There's no reason to have to heft a 700 pounder ,, there's plenty of bigger bikes like the BMW r1150r with a windscreen that are under 500 and are very capable
