Heruk....bro....I like you.....I'm not going to yell.....but write some of this down. I know we discussed don't set your exhaust at .008"! Where the hell did you get that gap? .006" is as wide as you'll see exhaust on this forum. If you set it at .008" the rocker slaps against the valve stem and CLICKS. It's too wide, it won't hit the piston, it won't open enough. It's .004" intake and .005" exhaust [+ or - .001").
Timing.....if you're building your engine, get the piston at top dead center, right at the top of the stroke and the flywheel as close to the T as it can get. Put the cam sprocket in with the big hole out and the timing lines parallel to the head. Set the chain, if the flywheel drifts a little don't worry, they do that.
Here's how to set your valves easy peasy. Rotate the engine until one valve is completely open, and then set the other one. Repeat for the other valve. When one valve is open, the other one is closed. Now lean forward a bit Heruk....Listen up next time bro.....

some air cooled and one that I saw I wasnt too sure but it was the quietest. So setting the ex to .004 and an airtight muffler is that all you can do to quiet these bikes?

Set the exhaust to .005" in my opinion. As Alley says "a buzzy valve is a fuzzy valve". Is that it Alley? Anyway, you don't want your valves to be totally quiet. They should buzz a little so you know they're not too tight. If they're too tight they hang open when hot and you loose compression. A symptom of that is the bike won't restart until it cools down. Ticking like that could be a bad plug wire or loose connection at the plug. The arc ticks. Pull the plug wire and crank it. Do you still hear the tick? Then it may be a valve. Reduce the gaps some....does it change the tick? It's the valves. Are you sure it's not an exhaust leak? Could your wife have set a bomb under the seat? I'm just sayin...
