heruk, tvnacman, jct842, cyborg just wondering what are motion pro adjusters? are they for the gy6 motors .trying to hold those tiny adjusters when turning the lock nut is a pain in the a#* if this tool is for this problem I want one.

and once you get them set correctly the ticking should be greatly minimized but not eliminated,,,solid lifters (rocker arms) and the motor is aircooled so the gaps are larger than a watercooled engine so there will be slight ticking

the company that makes them is Motion Pro,,,they make decent tools and parts specific to bikes (cables and other parts),,,the tappet adjuster tool set they make is key to quick and easy and accurate lash adjusting,,,trying to do it with box wrench & screw driver & feeler gauges is frustrating and make the proceedure a chore,,,once you get used to the tappet tools you'll laugh at the way you used to do it,,,then you'll get pissed cause you'll also realize how much time you wasted messing with it the other way,,,ask Rich about his very deep head recess on his Sym,,at the end of it he was probably swearing in ancient egyptian he devined while trying to fiddle with his adjustment with no room and balogna fingers

Oh and as a side get a set of motion pro valve/tappet adjusters,,,it makes the chore super quick and acurate valve adjustment a breeze is this this what your talking about ? looks like your making some progress Huruk . John |

yes john has a very similar tool,,,i just checked it out,,,the Motion Pro set i use is for many different applications as i am not scooter specific and use them on my motorcycles as well,,,Motion Pro tappet adjuster tool

the ones with the kinda like turn knob are nice , but the longer lever type to hold the tappet while tightening the jam nut . You can see by the position of the lever moves verses the knob it harder to tell .

On gy6 all I have ever used is a big needle nose pliers and a 9mm combo wrench. I have never found the need to get FANCY.
