Hey Will,, in your opinion what is the best quality replacement cables ( clutch, shifter, throttle) for the Stella?, Vespa px replacements,,, and should I get the whole cable? Or just slide in new cables keeping the sheaths? This is what I've heard from around the net,,, your thoughts ?,, keeping in mind I am a quality over quantity guy,, I don't want to save a buck but have to do it really often because of poor materials,,, thanks in advance

Just roll with steels and slide them into the sheath when you break one. It's pretty much what we all do on our old shiftys, because when one breaks you probably aren't going to be in a position to re-route a whole cable. Stuff the spares in the back of your glovebox. You can replace the sheaths when you do an engine off service, y'know, should you ever need to, or if a sheath actually does start to show some wear through.

Get the Prima stuff from Scooterworks. Works fine, super affordable. I don't carry those cables yet, but I have them in the works.

When are you anticipating carrying them? Bike only has under 2000 miles so I don't see a failure for a few more thousand,,, I'll wait and get them from you

Well Cyborg , if you need the scooter up and running and can't wait . Now it is about who has it now !!!! I can only justify a $20 cost difference on a cable . Unless its cast from gold or platinum with high priced stickers .

I apologize for not keeping up as I had ! Regular cables are what I use. ScooterMercato is where I normally order my cables from if I am not in a panic. They are tad bit cheaper than "works" but are usually the same quality as "works". Please remember these steel cables will stretch. Especially the clutch cable . You may need to adjust via the cable adjuster. I try to keep spare inner cables for the clutch , throttle and shifter. Trust me !! Getting towed home when not having a spare is a bit embarrassing ! If your putting a new complete cable expect fun and mayhem and a few choice words. I have had to do both the shifter and clutch and it wasn't exactly a piece of cake to do. That was with the gas tank still in the scoots frame ! willc.

I got a pair from scooter works about 3 days ago,so so quality,, just ordered another set on eBay they look much better,,,, also I'm going to get rid of the pinch barrel cable setup at the clutch actuation lever end and fab up a heim joint so there will be no side loads ,,, this is what's shredding the cable in the first place
