Hey,

The seat lock's latch like mechanism that holds on to the ring on the under side of the seat doesn't hold the loop/ latch thing... it is pretty loose and free. i am assuming the spring has come off. does anyone have pics of a seat lock repair? or familiar with the anatomy?

There is supposed to be a spring on the thing in your hand.....not that thing!! The one in the video! The key part is just a lever that pulls the cable. The mechanism at the latch has the spring.

where did you find that pic? are there install instructions anywhere? I wonder that size spring ill need from home depot

The powers of the Bashan are limitless. Well...kinda...I don't have any power over the wife. You'll just have to guess at Lowes (or Home Depot). The last time I bought springs they had an assortment pack which has been handy. Unfortunately you have to pull the spring into place with needle nose pliers. Considering your propensity for colorful language, I'd keep the sound off if you're making a video of it.
