cyborg Thanks for taking the time to look .Alley came back on line and confirmed my thinking that I'm a little lean so I'm going to try and start with a 112 main and see what happens.thanks for all your help.

It all depends on where it is acting up on you and if it is. If it is in the mid-range then you can lower or raise the needle BUT if the problem is only at high rpms and 50mph or so then it is your main.
Does it emit any sounds at wide open throttle around 50mph or so, like a BRAT, POP or BOGGG sound?
Also a great trick of the trade to let you know what the motor needs when it acts up is the following: When it acts up BACKOFF the throttle 1/8-1/14 of an INCH AND HOLD IT THERE. Now pay attention to what it does: A. If it speeds up it is LEAN (needs more fuel). B. If it settles down and just runs good it is RICH(needs less fuel).
This trick of the trade works at any throttle position but tells you what you need at that point with no guessing. Alleyoop

scoot, cyborg, Alleyoop I think you just confirmed the lean condition at about 25 mph.if you give it full throttle it boggs than if you let off the throttle a little bit it will recover and start to gain speed and start pulling hard. as far as top end it will get there but slowly.your tip is VERY helpful can't wait to try it out but from what you said sounds like lean to me.you agree ?WOW..lights just flicked were in the middle of a wind storm here lights went out but back on now. better go for now while I still can.thanks, look forward to your comments.

From what you say it does after letting off the throttle a little it is LEAN. Alleyoop
